I have over 20 years of experience assessing and effectively treating persons with mental health and substance abuse issues. I have spent quite a bit of my career as a clinician and then supervisor of Crisis/Emergency services with The Guilford Center in Guilford County, North Carolina.
In addition to my work with The Guilford Center, I have years of experience in conflict resolution and crisis intervention. Also, I have experience as an Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse counselor; group counseling with those who have anger management issues and counseling with women experiencing domestic violence issues.
I am a solution-focused therapist. I believe in providing support and feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate techniques that offer a personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they seek.
